Should this season have an asterisk next to it?

In such a chaotic season, a chaotic world, a chaotic time in life, an unprecedented year, many questions begin to arise. How can we move forward with life? How is my son going to graduate from middle school? How can we proceed to do the things we love and wish to pursue? Should this NBA season have an asterisk next to it? Absolutely not. Here's why.

Is life in any shape or form perfect? How do we continue to have such blessed events, gatherings, memories, that are so great and are as enjoyable as the possibly can be, but some still find a way to paint negativity? Why should this season have an asterisk next to it? Because your favorite player had an injury he had to play through? These are striking and unparalleled times. It's really not the time to sit and complain about injuries. If Kyrie wasn't injured, then the Nets would win or if Jamal wasn't injured then the Nuggets would have gone further. Injuries are definitely coming in at incredibly unfortunate times but that doesn't change the course of the season. It's not a perfect world. Injuries are the absolute worst, but they are a part of life. If Chris Paul was fully healthy during his time with the Rockets, then I believe they would have won themselves a ring. Despite Rockets fans, including me, who cry every day as Chris Paul's ACL stopped him and James Harden from getting a ring, we need to accept that NBA fans should be thanking Adam Silver for how well the NBA handled the pandemic. NBA fans shouldn't be angry at him for cramming the season together, NBA fans should be upset at teams for mishandling their player's health. Allow players to rest, get them the treatment they need, or be prepared to move on with the team through injuries.
