NBA Free agency is known for being a rollercoaster of an event for NBA fans. We basically get to sit down and relax, scroll our twitters and watch bench players sign contracts for 10$-15$ million a year and it's always so awesome to see how many changes there are in the league. Although, this offseason is a bit different, more quiet, and not as fun. Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are done with the Nets organization and they have both requested trades. Kyrie Irving opted into his contract which makes it possible for him to get traded and get his money from his current contract. There are off seasons where Chris Paul was traded to the Rockets, Chris was then traded to OKC and Phoenix, Paul George went from Indiana to Oklahoma City then he went to the Clippers, the offseason was always full of moves. It appears everyone still available on the market such as Demarcus Cousins, Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony, Miles Bridges, Montrezl Harrell and others are waiting on Kevin and Kyrie to make a move. This has been one of the quietest off seasons I have ever witnessed. The most exciting NBA update has been Gobert getting traded to the Wolves for some reason. I wonder how that will work out. The unfortunate reality about the Nets' situation is that it may take a long time to get the players on different teams, as in it could take up until training camp week so buckle up. Goran Dragic, a member if the Nets' team last year, characterized it in an interview with Slovenian newspaper Vecer: “I played with some stars, like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, and I have to admit that it was quite difficult because the focus was not the team, but more the individual performances,”
Here are some possible Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving trades I think have a chance of becoming true:
Raptors: Pascal Siakam, Fred Van Fleet, multiple picks
Nets: Durant
Heat: Tyler Herro, Max Strus, Duncan Robinson, multiple picks
Nets: Durant
Lakers: Russell Westbrook, Austin Reeves, Kendrick Nunn, multiple picks
Nets: Kyrie Irving
Suns: Deandre Ayton, Cameron Johnson, multiple picks
Nets: Kevin Durant
